Hi folks, recently saw a video of Parks Canada Rangers patrolling the Rideau Canal in Ottawa, they had APX radios. Would anyone here happen to know of the Parks Canada frequencies?

Check out 149.170, 149.185 and 152.000. Look for TG and NAC.

It appears that all the provincial parks now have a TG on one or more of these channels. Since the parks are starting to open for the season hopefully more parks can be added to the database.

Those are for the provincial parks. He is asking about Parks Canada. Parks Canada is a federal government agency.

I'd check on the Ottawa system. Rouge National Urban Park is on the York Region system, so I'd imagine Ottawa would be the same.

They are not on the Ottawa system, Ottawa uses TAIT radios....
You realize P25 can be vendor agnostic. We have a Harris system in Alberta that has Harris, Motorola, Kenwood/EFJ, Tait and BK radios in service by the agencies that use it.

I do, but I know for a fact, Parks Canada is not on it. The only federal service that uses it is CBSA...

I'm here a lot
Some Googling shows that Parks Canada talkaround simplex (nationally) is 166.290 MHz. The other frequencies vary by location, but generally reside in the 166 MHz area +/- one MHz. Also, likely Marine channel 16 156.800 MHz for water emergencies.
