I passes the Tech exam this morning, I only missed one. They asked if I wanted to try for the General, so I took it too. I failed by two questions, but they told me that it was a good first try. I knew I wouldn't make General, I hadn't prepped for it at all. However, since I passed Element 2, I've accomplished my goal for today.
I'll probably study for the General in Feb, after my EMT final and state exam in January. I may also shoot for Extra next Spring, but I've got a lot of studying to do before then.
I do have one question though about vanity call signs. If a call sign shows up as "Cancelled" from several years ago, is it probably available?
