PC and NX700

Hi Friends, I am new here, can you tell me where I can looking for the PC interface Protocol of Kenwood or maybe what I need to establish the serial communication between PC and NX700 radio, thanks

Kenwood KPG-111 software and a programming cable is what you need.

Depends on exactly what you are trying to do.

There is the programming interface, in which you need KPG-111 programming software.

There is also a communications method that allows you to "talk" to the radio using "J-commands".

There is also the data communications modes used to pass data across the RF channel to other radios.

I no need to program the radio (KPG-111), I want to j-commands for serial communication, i configured in the radio the COM1, and also I identified the TX/RX port. I have ready the serial comunication between PC to Radio, but my NX700 doen't send any data, i need to know the protocols for this communication

Ah, OK, J-commands….

So, the in depth manual for these radios mentions the J-command serial output, but there are no details. I suspect this is something that Kenwood would release to developers.

Either way, I've never seen any detailed documentation on J-commands for Kenwood.

Doing some web searches on "Kenwood J-command FleetSync" will show you the same stuff I've found.
