I am running a personal Win500 stream to my Win500 Android app............looking for the best audio with the best dynamic range. I run 4 scanners through a small mixer, with certain scanners pumping out higher audio levels so that they can be heard over the lower level scanners. I also run uncompressed for the Win500 server, as compressed sounds really horrible.
Trying to figure out what would be the best line in settings for my PC audio card. I am reading the higher the sampling frequency, the more overhead you get, and less clipping/compression when your peak levels slam against the roof. I am also reading that it's best to match the input sample rate and frequency to the final output, this case, the Win500 stream, so that you avoid any resampling of the audio. I am not sure exactly what uncompressed Win500 spits out........44, 48?????
Any help would be appreciated. I have noticed that the higher my settings are, the less buzzing peak voice levels I encounter. The final listening device for this stream is my bluetooth earpiece, which has limited volume levels, so it is important I can force as much audio strength and volume level into the stream as possible, because the bluetooth has weak volume.
