Well make sure you let us know how it goes when you get it Bill.

I am very interested in how it performs on VHF and UHF airband (especially since the R20 has the little problem around 300MHz!)

What "little problem" did the R20 have around 300MHz?

The IC-R20 exhibits a marked desensitisation between 290 and 300MHz. This is apparently where the filters change. It makes the R20 less than ideal for UHF airband DX-ing.

I have had the PCR-1000 for a few years and like it - just limited to what I can hear in Los Angeles where so much is digital and/or trunked.
do you know if there is software for the ic-pcr 1000 to work with windows vista
