I saw a reference in the thread to Peekochat being a Firefox utility. What about non-Firefox users?

I tried to check out on mirc #radioreference.com and found nothing.
Is there any other place on MIRC?

If you use mIRC, you will need to point to the Peekko server.

peekko.pertinent.net
Port 8080

Once connected, enter /join #radioreference.com

You'll then be in the channel with the rest of us.

Sorry, I am not that familiar with MIRC.
When I connect what do I do, how do I connect using the above server?

TIA

type /server peekko.pertinent.net 8080
(type it in any window)

or you can add the server to the server list.

Then type /join #radioreference.com
(again, in any window)

Yet another new version of Peekko has been released:

http://peekko.com/chat/HomePage.html

Version 0.2.6
New Stuff

*

Matthew Churilla (ltguide) added a customizable navigation toolbar button to show/hide the Peekko toolbar. You can find it under View -> Toolbars -> Customize. Awesome Job, Matt! :)
*

Major change to prototype.js to hopefully fix all the major conflicts Peekko Chat had with other extensions. (Please report back if they are not fixed.)
*

Changes to primary nick take effect immediately if the chat session is already open.

Version 0.3.1
New Stuff

Added button to show the most popular channels
Added Dutch localization
Fixed international suffixes (e.g., #google.com.au)

The popular channel button may be a great way to bring new people into RR. There is a dropdown menu that lists the most used channels on the network.

I disagree with the last 2 posts.

The chat room allows all of us to get together in one place and be able to talk about anything and everything. Just because we are in a chat room does not mean we wont post somthing if it needs to be posted. This chat just allows us to be able to talk face to face if you know what I mean.

i agree, i would like a chat room added to the site

Have security issues been resolved with these CHAT applications? I've been in computers, and IT for over 25 years, and I've yet to use any CHAT programs due to various security issues they all seemed to have at one time, or another.

Thanks!
ive been on aol for about 10 years only because of their chat rooms, it is possible to have safe chat rooms where friends meet to chat about stuff and can get off topic as they would over a cup of coffee or something.im sure many of the members here have lots of knowledge on other subject as well as radio and in a chat room you could get off topic without using up the memory space of the site. as an example i also play guitar and like to work on guitar amps, tvs, audio equipment, who knows who else here might enjoy those same things.

Where did everyone go? Seems like the activity in the room has gone way down. Is there still interest?

You can now set your default language in the chat room. For instance, if your primary language is English, type:

rbot lang en

This will translate any other text that is typed in the room to english and works with any IRC client (mIRC, Peekko Chat, etc).
