Some of the information on that web site is wrong.

Police divisions in Peel Region:

11 Division - 3030 Erin Mills Parkway (Mississauga)
12 Division - 4600 Dixie Road (Mississauga)
Airport Division - 2951 Convair Drive (Pearson International Airport)
Derry Road Facility - 180 Derry Road East (Mississauga)
21 Division - 185 Central Park Drive (Brampton)
22 Division & Police Headquarters - 7750 Hurontario Street (Brampton)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peel_Regional_Police

The Derry Road Facility is for TAC,K-9,IDENT,Robbery unit and street crime unit.

And where do they get some of the Units names and alot more they don't have.

-Regional Traffic

May be so but not all is Regional Traffic some come out of the division and just work in the division like 22-taffic 10 or 22-traffic 20

Regional Breath Unit

You mean ABU unit? They are Regional Breath Unit

Major Collision Bureau.

That will be MCB lik MCB 1 or MCB2

-Gang Unit

Don't hear much of them they must be on simplex. The Gang 4 or Gang 5 so on.

-Homicide

Most be D unit .

-Central Robbery Bureau

Yep they are Robbery 5 or Robbery 4 so on and you can get them some times on project or PRP1

-Special Victims Unit

Most be CASA unit for assault?

No talkgroup.

Street Crime

Yep street crime most of the time are on the division talkgroup driving around stoping people or looking for crime that may be happing they seem to be more of a beat unit.

-Forensic Identification

That is IDENT they don't seem to have talkgroup

-Commercial Auto Crime Bureau

Never hear them

-ICE Unit

What is that ? I never hear them.

-Technological Crime

What is that too?

Morality

You mean vice unit? They on the morality talkg-group and I think PRP has some talkgroups for this .No callsign.

-Special

What is special?

-Dive Team

No callsign or talkgroup

Tactical Response Unit (TRU) was formed in 1976 and is responsbile for handling dangerous situations not handled by regular uniformed officers. They are specially trained to use deadly force, if necessary.

The talkgroup isTAC and callsign is TAC

Canine Bureau

Yep k-9 2 so on they on the TAC clear some times

Marine Unit

callsign is Marine number __? and no talkgroup.

Community Support
Family Violence
Auxiliary Program
Alarm Program
Diversity Relations
Labour Liaison
Drug Education

Seem to be More of a NPU unit.

The Peel Regional Police (PRP) provides policing services for Peel Region in Ontario, Canada. As of 2005, it is the second largest municipal police service in Ontario (trailing Toronto Police Service), and third largest in Canada. The service serves around 1,000,000 citizens, and is made up of approximately 1,650 uniformed members, with close to 600 support staff.

There is way more people than 1,000,000 citizens and 1,650 uniformed members or 1,650 uniformed front line officers?

You did not say if they have 5 shifts 4 days on and 4 days off and 4 days on and 4 days off again so on.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peel_Regional_Police

Also the rank is wrong it should be this.
-Chief of Police
-Deputy Chiefs
-Superintendent
-Inspector
-Staff Sergeant
-Sergeant

Constable
-first class
-second class
-third class
-fourth class
-Cadet

Like EJB said, if you don't like what's on the Wiki page, then change it.

That's the whole point of the Wiki.

[Nec208 : I was referring to the population. I dont know or care about their budget.

I have NEVER monitored Peel nor do I care to do so.

There is a wiki page here, why dont you put your efforts into creating info that we can all use.
Mike did a great job posting about Simoce Region.
I did a few enteries on scanning a few towers also.

And thirdly, PLEASE check your phrasing of sentences and spelling.
If you want to take that as an insult so be it but the main reason why people do not like or understand each other is because we do not know wxactly what they are saying.
Your posts are hard to read.

Take it for what its worth.

You might want to check that your own posts are written wxactly before pointing out other's mistakes.

I will try and help you with what i know about Peel..

180 Derry along with what you said also hosts Training and a believe a small unit of 11 Div cars.. I have heard cars signing off at 180 Derry but i would have to guess it would be 11 Div because 22 Div is just up the road or maybe both?

As for Gang Units and Street Crimes all falls under CIB and thats what they are called on the Band except Streets... CIB you will find on different TG's not just CIB TG's. They are both under same unit just different assignments. Morality TG's are used mostly by CIB now as Morality uses phones and Digital radios (Encrypted).

Their is a unit i have heard called Town_ never figured out what they do?
(Town 1 or Town 2) Is this for the cars working a satellite office?

There's a signifigant difference between Digital and Encrypted. PRP Morality guys aren't encrypted, they're just digital. However it's a flavour of digital that scanners aren't compatible with.

You mean P25?

Peel switched over to P25 a couple of years ago.

The Intel groups are quite active but the activity is encrypted (and digital).

Morality seldom uses their radios. They prefer either analog or Mike.

Rather hypocritical, considering your sig has had a grammar error for how long now?

Rather hypocritical of you, considering wizards don't exist...

I guess I should change my sig line to all of the equipment I own - just to make sure everyone knows all of the scanners I use :)
