I have submitted my feed and I have my scanner and software connected and I’ve been waiting several weeks for approval. I also emailed the support email address and I haven’t gotten a response. Does anyone know if the Broadcastify staff is still working and what is going on? This is a feed that is pretty desirable in a large metro area And I just don’t understand why it is taking so long to get it approved.

Welcome to the forums. What large metro area? Are you certain a feed doesn't already exist carrying the same traffic as the one you'd provide?

Las Vegas. No other feed carries this channel

Is the channel you are trying to feed allowed undere the Broadcastify terms of service (IE Tac, Hosp to Amb ch, business ch, gov't, encrypted, etc)? Have you checked that messages were not sent to you with questions from Broadcastify staff that went unanswered? Broadcastify staff, mostly volunteers, are still working, but if they sent a request for additional info that was not responded to they would not proceed with the approval process.

It’s a dispatch channel for the Las Vegas Clark county school district police department. It isn’t against the terms. I have received no communication at all from them since submitting the feed, nor any response to my support request.

We answer all support requests on time and under budget. Unfortunately, patience levels coupled with other issues results in us not being able to support every combination and issue how people want us to.

For instance, the OP submitted a feed application for a school district feed, which we don’t typically allow, and supposively opened a support ticket with us (we can’t find it) and then decided to go on a private investigation type man hunt to find a phone number because they just HAD to get a school district PD feed up as absolutely soon as possible, but their investigation led them to send a freaking text message to my wife that said “Lindsay?” And so my wife is like WTF? And then I had to go back and forth with this person on my wife’s phone with some dude who thought I should just immediately know who he was.

None of the rules state that a school district or college police dispatch feed is not allowed. Also, I don’t know your wife’s name. I don’t know your wife’s phone number. After many attempts to contact your company to no avail, I started searching for someone in management phone number. Your name was the only name That I could find. Upon searching for your name on a publicly available WhitePages online phonebook, the phone number that I texted was the only phone number that was listed on the side for your name. Unsure if the phone number actually belong to you or not, that is why I opened the texting conversation with your first name. Instead of Responding that I had the wrong number or Some other response to indicate that I was not texting the right person, your wife apparently continued the conversation asking who I was. Since I received that kind of a response, instead of a response, indicating that I had the wrong number, I assumed that I was speaking to you and wrote back with the problem I was having. Only and then did I receive a response that I had contacted the wrong number.

If I had received a response, initially that I had contacted the wrong number, I would have saved the conversation instead of continuing to text with a person who I believed it was you.

When someone invest close to $1000 on scanner hardware and a computer to stream specifically to your service, of which the streamer receives no revenue, and you will receive all the revenue from the advertising, it should be expected that you would respond in a timely manner.

As I said, we didn't see a support request from you. If we did, we would have responded to it - we complete most support requests pretty fast. Since you are running your own mail domain, maybe your system was dropping emails? I don't know and I don't know what to tell you.

Listen closely, we value all of our feed providers, but one of the audio admins probably made a gut call to not allow a dedicated school district police feed, because frankly it's not going to see much of an audience, contrary to what you might think.

The examples that you described above are a feed that might have a police dispatch talkgroup related to schools in it, and the other is broadcastify calls.

I'm not going to fence with you further on this. you are taking this way to seriously and it's borderline weird. I'll spend all kinds of time to work with you to help you out an explain what's up, but I don't need customers sending vague text messages to my wife about why their school district PD feed wasn't approved. It's weird man.

Then, why is your wife’s phone number listed in the white pages as your phone number? Perhaps you should think about having your phone number unlisted. Or having the name changed on it. back in my day, when you wanted to speak to someone, you opened up the phonebook, found their phone number, and gave them a call. But these days, if you do the same thing, people will call you weird. Your company should really consider publishing a phone number, if you don’t want people to look you up in the white pages. Since it appears, you are really the only employee of the company, then you should have some sort of telephone support or email support that response. I tried emailing the support email address from several different domain names as well as from a Gmail address and never received a response after three weeks.
