PennSTAR 6 was established to cover the Temple Hospital Transport program. Previously, University Medevac had this contract (hence their Medevac 8 based in Philly). When the contract was rebid, PennSTAR got it.
PennSTAR 6 is currently based at Wings Field in Blue Bell, Montgomery Co, PA.

PennSTAR #6 can, when neccesary, take emergency air-med flights when the other P/S ships are unavailable. A couple of weeks ago, P/S #6 took a flight to Chester County to cover PennSTAR #2 on an MVA in Frazer.
