I can't pick up any transmissions for Pequannock on my 536HP. I know the police had RAS enabled, but now from what i see in the database the whole town repeaters are RAS. In the past i received the FD, but have not heard them in a while. Is there any scanner available to decode this system without having to use external devices?

Don’t quote me, but from what I understand(right from the change to DMR) every service on DMR had RAS enabled(PD, FD,EMS and DPW).

However, for FD/EMS dispatch. The analog is for the tone-out.

I can verify that. Again, dispatch for Fire/EMS is analog(and in the clear).

In-service and response and so on is on DMR I believe.

I have no issues with the analog dispatch. I just don't get anything on the other channels. However, occasionally I pick up the police, but not often. Sometimes I will get the desk, but don't pick up the mobile units. I didn't think the FD was RAS enabled from the changeover right from the start. I see the database was updated, so I think this happened later on. I had read some thread on the SDS200, where someone referenced that unit being capable of monitoring this system, but I would like to know for sure

Both of my x36’s pass RAS protected systems audio perfectly. I know first hand. No question.

Uniden ignores RAS. I would recheck your programming or antenna.
I have an external antenna and live only a few miles away. I have had trouble programming the DMR from sentinel. I am pretty sure I have it programmed correctly, but is there an easy way to get it programmed ?

First I’d take the external antenna off if you are only a few miles away and check with the factory antenna on the back of the unit. Rule that out. If you still have issues, I’d try deleting and then reloading the database and appending it to your favorites again. If they doesn’t work, the guys over on the Uniden boards are extremely helpful diagnosing. Could be something as little as not having a quick key enabled for that favorites list.

I have tried it without the antenna weeks back. My question- Downloading from Sentinel database for the DMR system. Are you saying that with the information in the database and assigning the correct quick key, I should have no issues?

I also see that the radio reference database has the FD Response tagged as Fire Talk. Sentinel downloads it as Fire Tac. Does this make a difference?

Yes. Have all of them enabled. Just wondering if it makes a difference specific to how the FD Response is downloaded as it differs from the RR DB

hmmm...since you are not having issues with the analog dispatch, throw that DMR frequency in the same favorites list as DISPATCH. It’s got to be the way it’s coming over.

I can try that. It would be great if anyone else who monitors Pequannock could chime in here on their experiences with this system.

Picking them up fine on the SDS100 and SDS200 scanners.
I just added the channels to my scan list using the Sentinel software.

I have had no luck with programming my 536hp. I know others have said they can pick them up with the 536hp, but I have not been able to figure out why I can't. I have tried reprogramming, but no luck. Maybe the newer SDS100/ 200 has better capabilties for DMR
