Can any one tell me what Perkins Fire PL tone may be. This evening my FD was getting blead over from another dept. Look up the TX Freq 158.7750 I found that Perkins was the closest FD to us. I heard a unit asking for command. I just hope there not using the same pl tone.

Limestone PL is 146.2

thanks,

I'll have to monitor that freq, I've always listened to them on State Fire prior to this, mostly I didn't care, actually. Somebody posted a bunch of new freqs for OSU also, that I haven't been able to confirm the usage listed. Hope to know more soon.

I heard that last night but i thought that it was Limestone fire out on something. I just looked at my radio to see who all the traffic was and then turned it down, It sounds like you guys are having the same problem that Northwest fire had until they changed their PL tone. Verdigris Fire had the same problem hearing Rolling Hills fire, Stillwater fire and I beleive Carthage, Missouri until Verdigris added a PL tone. :D

No, we were not out on a call last night. I was at my station with the District Cheif when it started. We reset the repeater a few time but that did seen to solve the problem. So My guess is that atmosphere was just right to here Perkins (I'm guessing). Whis about 80 Miles as the crow flies away.

Hopefully we don't have go and change are PL tone.

LET ME CLEAR UP THE MISUNDERSTANDING

AS A MEMBER OF THE PERKINS FIRE DEPARTMENT AND PERKINS POLICE DEPARTMENT, I CAN SAY THAT 158.775 IS OUR CITY CHANNEL USED BY THE WATER DEPARTMENT- NOT USED BY THE FD UNLESS FOR A TAC CHANNEL. OUR MAIN OPERATIONS CHANNEL IS STATE FIRE (154.130). FROM LOOKING MY ME FREQUENCIES BOOK, I SHOW THAT MUSKOGEE PD, OKLAHOMA CITY, WOODS COUNTY, CITY OF ADA, CHEYENNE, OKEEN, TALAHINA, AND THE CITY OF LAWTON ALL USE THIS FREQ, FOR SOME REASON OR ANOTHER. When Glenpool PD was on the VHf we used to get Baxter Kansas, then we went to our repeater and picked up Oklahoma City Weather Net or something and the director drove up here to Glenpool and got into it with our Chief over the antenna length or something. Guess we were putting out too much power for our FCC license.
