Does anyone know the new fire dispatch frequencies for Selwyn and Douro-Dummer townships, or did they go digital?
I understand the old frequencies listed in the database are now backup channels for those two townships.

I could be wrong here. D-D may still be active.
Ptbo dispatch recently did some testing referencing backup on the Selwyn frequency, and since then there has been no fire activity on that frequency. Normally, there are a few calls per day for Selwyn. Could just be an unusually inactive week, but the talk of backup had me wondering. I know Selwyn has had going digital on their plans for years now.

I've noticed that I receive the County Fire dispatch signal a lot better recently. I'm not sure what caused this but I am not complaining. Speaking of Selwyn, does anyone ever hear any traffic for the Selwyn Roads Department?

You will hear the snow plows for Selwyn on the same frequency as fire dispatch, but they use a different PL tone. You will only hear them during a snow storm, but rarely is there much comms on it, there has been lake rescues off Chemong.
Speaking of fire, Peterborough control which is the main fire dispatch for the city and county, dispatches from a building on Sherbrooke St. (main fire station) for Selwyn.
If you need to know anything else , pm me.

Selwyn Public Works uses the same frequency as Selwyn Fire. You can hear the Public Works boys most weekdays, especially when snow plowing or street sweeping.
I'm not sure if Selwyn has a specific Roads department. Peterborough County Roads is a different frequency that I haven't tried yet.

Both have a designation of Analog.

TAFL is really bad for outdated information especially on modes. Many services have switched from analog to digital.

The other day on the main city fire dispatch channel, I heard the dispatcher talk about switching to Ops-2. I had no idea there was more than one Ops channel for the city. Can anyone shed any more light on this?
