Philly muti-fatal fire

At 6:30 a.m. this morning a multi apartment duplex middle of the row in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia went up in flames, fully involved.

That duplex is operated by the Housing Authority and is divided into multiple apartments. They were way overcrowded, cold night last night.

All four smoke alarms are non-functional. 7 children and 6 adults died with an adult and a child in critical condition also. There may be more fatalities in the ashes.

This is the dispatch call that shows the professionalism of the Philadelphia Fire Department. Many calls indicated multiple entrapment.

So I'm listening to the news desks communicating with the news Choppers, they actually all share with each other and the producer was careful to say on the feed that will be coming up on Fox 29 to be sure not to get any photos of body bags, I had a feeling there was going to be more victims who were less defined and identifiable.

This will be an ongoing story all week.

Yes news Chopper just confirmed that they are removing bodies from the building so the count will go up. This has not been reported yet.

Yes Terry it is so sad. They are going to do a live shot but back way off and make it wide as it appears as they're bringing out multiple people. I'm sure there won't be any confirmation but the chopper pilots are confirming it. Three up in the air over the area now on ADS-B.

Very very sad something that will sadly live with those first responders for the rest of their lives. Something that probably could have been prevented if people just had working smoke detectors so damm sad.
