Phoenix PD Scanning

Hi thee,

Is anyone using a bct996 to scan Phoenix PD? If so,how is the reception? How do you like this scanner overall. I am in the market for a base scanner and it narrowed down to this one and the pro 197 from radio shack.

Thanks for the heads up. I should not have made that post. I made that post in haste because on ebay I saw that one of these scanners was coming up to end bid in 40 minutes. I ended up making a bid on it and winning. Picked it up for $430.00. I had been torn between this one and the Pro 197. I learned yesterday that those went off sale for $400.00. Now they are back up to $499.00. I have a feeling that both scanners will perform well.
