I would guess that sounds like a group of brush fire specialists dispatched to fight a wildland fire in a remote area. This could either be locally (pierce county area), or they may be needed elsewhere in the region.

I know that, I'm a firefighter. Ha ha. I was just wondering why they were called to Gig Harbor, because there is nothing about any brush fire over there on the news. For them to call in a task force, they have already called DNR, but DNR takes a few days to get things assembled and sent out for deployment. When they call in for the Pierce county wildland task force, they need resources immedeiatly.
It very well could have been. Kind of weird they called in for so many resources for a 3 acre fire, whent there was a 20 acre fire on SR 410 a few weeks ago that was shooting up the hill threw a chimney canyon heading towards some very large house at the top of the hill towards Lake Tapps. I guess they were a little scarred of the fire growing out of control.
