Could this be the reason I cant hear any Pinellas FD calls. I just got a BCD436hp. I hear Pinellas sheriff, St Pete PD, Clearwater PD, Largo PD, but no EMS.

I checked the freq for all the sites and it shows the same ones as in the RR DB, but I dont see any ways to designate which freq is the control.

Anyone in the area send in a submission to update the database? Its everyone here that collaborates together to improve the database. ;)

This is why when programming radios at a minimum is to program in the control channel(s) and any alternate channel(s).

Right now I show 856.96250 as an alternate CC. Should I remove it all together or make it a Primary CC. I'm not understanding what is needed to fix the problem.

Just for my information, is the Pinellas County SO using encryption on any of the dispatch talk groups? I used to be able to hear them when conditions were right on the analog TRS but I have heard zero since the move to the P25 TRS. Thanks.

Do you monitor and hear other TGs on the P25 system?

Thanks for the replies. I haven't been able to hear anything at all on the new P25 system. I have the PCSO and FD programed into my Pro 197, I think I'm too far away. I was able to hear them on the analog system pretty often.

Digital signals do not travel as far as analog signals. If you were on the fringe with the analog system, you definitely won't hear the digital system.
