Earlier this month, the Plainville PD had some work done on the radio system. Since then, I no longer hear any transmission. Does anyone have any information?

I got an answer from the dispatcher.

They're not scrambled, we're not hiding anything, don't let it be so disappointing, we're just on channel 2 while they upgrade Channel 1, BTW channel 2 can be found on the internet

I have also been monitoring 153.995 and 159.03.

Nothing yet.

EDIT: 7:55 PM

I don't know what frequency they're using. I have heard nothing in a 1/2 hour.

I guess they're on an unknown frequency, but they'll hopefully be back.

They have some radio updating as of late. They are currently using ch2 with a new NAC of 190. They are supposed to go back to ch1 after the updates. Mods can you please update the database? Thanks

If you have monitored it and confirm a change, you can submit the change via the button on the page. The Mods for CT may not pick up on a change mentioned within a thread.

Sure, submit a database ticket and it will get done. All changes are documented via the ticket system so they have to be processed that way. That's how we can tell who submitted BS information in the past. Once I see it show up, I will change it in the DB asap.

Thanks,

I've definitely noticed they've been going back and forth between 155.595 and 159.030. I've also noticed 153.995 is DMR CC11. I have no idea what department is using it, it doesn't sound like police operations.

Madison BOE has that. Bus use maybe. A lot of BOE/Education I've seen use DMR. Possible you're picking that up?
Hartland DPW has a license too, but its conventional.

I'll also monitor and see. I'm down in Southington, should be able to pick them up. I tried a few weeks ago and got nothing as well, new NAC should help. Thanks!

Now that you mention it, because I monitor with the GPS, I'm only monitoring 153.995 when I'm in Plainville and most of the time it's while I'm passing through on 84. It could very well be another town, although I've never heard anything else on that frequency. I've also noticed Trumbull EMS on the Public Works while in Plainville with the same PL so I'm sure they are hearing them too.

Question for you since you're in Southington. What is the Public Works currently using? I don't seem to be receiving anything on the 153.590 or 154.055 any longer. Are the frequencies and/or DPL/PL's listed still up to date?
