Plane crash in Rockingham Co
I take it nobody local has heard anything about. I started hearing about it around 8am on STARS. At first it wasn't real clear what the incident was. A trooper was asking for print out of the weather conditions at 6am for Shenandoah Valley regional airport. Also mentioned NTSB would be involved, no mention of the FAA.
A while later I heard units talking about trying to get to the scene. Later they were reporting one fatality and one survivor and mentioned something about a flight school, so maybe a student was involved.
Crash scene is somewhere in the vicinity of 2nd Mountain Rd and Long Run Rd.
