I am asking everyone on here that can to sign a petition to get the DUI laws in Kentucky more strict and enforced instead of letting people buy there way out of trouble..Recently in my hometown a wonderful child lost her life to a DUI driver at only 10 yrs of age.The Laws name is Destiny's Law and i will provide links below on the story of Destiny Brewer and the driver that took her young life.Please take the time to sign the petition,I don't care what state or country you are from.But take the time to watch the video's and read the story on this horrific tragedy.Thank you all and please comment on the story if you wish..God bless

A man is now charged with murder after a Martin County car accident that killed a ten year-old girl.

Police say Ross Brandon Sluss was intoxicated behind the wheel Friday when he collided with a car carrying four people, including Destiny Brewer, who later died from her injuries.

Blanch Robinson was driving Destiny and two other children home from the pool when they were hit. The two other kids escaped with only scrapes and bruises, but Robinson is now in intensive care and young Destiny is gone.

Destiny Brewer spent almost everyday during the summer at this pool.

"She loved being at the pool, loved coming to swim," Tracy Mann, a family friend, said.

Family friends say she made her presence known everywhere she went. Destiny used that energy to excel in dancing at Dance Etc, and was even a main character in the Nutcracker performance.

Phelicia Evans says Destiny reveled being in the spotlight.

"She was so feisty, you knew she was there," Evans said.

The accident has shaken up many in the community, and for some it is hard to believe she is gone.

"Destiny is great, she's a wonderful child. No one will ever forget her," Mann said.

"Send a message to the angels. They better prepare, because heaven will never be the same," Evans said.

Sluss is in custody on a $100,000 cash-only bond. He will be back in court for a preliminary hearing on July 6.
