hello,

I know that Plymouth County Mutual Aid has 6 available channels. I know that channel 4 is used for administrative and operations with channels 1,2,3,5 and 6 reserved for incident ops. I have been listening for over a year now and have only heard them using channels 2 and 3 at incidents. Does anyone know if they do use channels 1,5, and 6?

Thanks,

It may be that the channels are used, or assigned, in a pre-arranged order. Channel 2 may be the first option, then channel 3, etc. There are various repeater sites throughout the county as well, so whatever channel is assigned, Plymouth County Control can turn on the nearest repeater site for the incident.

Matt,

They have been assigned for different things in the past,I remember ch 3 was assigned for a mass casualty incident, also Whitman Fire used ch 6 when the main system was down. these were quite a while back so I don`t recall actual dates.
