I've been trying to monitor PNC Arena without success. Have tried the freqs in RR which are from Gale Force Holdings, also tried Gale Force Sports, without success. Think they went to mototrbo (DMR) but can't get anything on that either.

Anyone hearing them? Will you please point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Don't have an answer for you, but have plans to be there for the first game in a little over a week. If there is no answer by then, I'll post my findings.
FWIW, the posted frequencies worked last season.
Marshall, KE4ZNR, may be able to help with this question.

Thanks, I might have to go to a parking area nearby on game day and try harder.

To be fair it has been awhile since I have attempted to monitor the radio
traffic at PNC arena. I believe they are still using FM due the fact their
FCC licenses still show 11K2F3E as the emissions designator and not
7K60FXE which would indicate MotoTRBO. One day this next week or so I will attempt to monitor the PNC Comms as I live only a few mins away from the arena and can usually at least pick up the parking attendants radio traffic.

One other note regarding PNC arena is that Raleigh PD has LE "loaner" radios they have for events out at the arena. These radios are programmed with Wake Event Talkgroups 1-9 Only.

Thanks Marshall, if you look at the Callsign WQRA296 (Gale Force Sports & Entertainment LLC) it does show the 7K60FXE designation which is why I thought they might have changed.

Yes, I've heard W Event channels being used, but not the Gale Force channels

Interesting...they have indeed updated their FCC listings to show the new designator yet still have the old licenses listed. Hey, if you get a chance take a scanner to the PNC grounds and help us solve this mystery. I will ask around and see what I come up with.

Have added all Gale Force channels from the 3 licenses. Hearing them set up the AV equipment for PNC on 463.4125 DC 662, in FM. Will keep listening through the weekend.

Across the street from PNC Arena tonight with my PRO 651 and CS750.

Have only heard one FM voice channel (462.1375 with very little traffic, and can't tell what kind) I believe came from PNC. I have heard almost all the Gale Force mototrbo channels active, but encrypted.

451.9125 cc 4 slot 1
452.975 cc 7 slot 1
461.3875 cc 8 slot 1
462.1625 cc 9 slot 1
463.2875 cc 5 slot 1
464,3625 cc 6 slot 1

Have been hearing 451.925 sounding like a motorboat signal on the scanner and tried slot 1 & 2 but the CS750 won't pick it up. I'm wondering/thinking maybe the scanner is just picking up 451.9125.

Only channel I haven't heard is 451.325.

Guess, like Crabtree Valley Mall, we've lost PNC to encryption.

Maybe someone else will catch something.

I have plans to be there next Sunday for the basketball game. Unless they've changed policies, I'll have my handheld scanner with me (I've taken it inside during basketball games in the past).
We'll see . . .

OK . . . here are my findings at the mid-point of the second half of the exhibition game in PNC Arena.

Active frequencies:
451.9125
452.975
461.3875
462.1625
463.2875
464.3625

All are active (and running encryption) inside the arena with NO antenna on a portable scanner.

Also picked up some traffic (also encrypted) on 463.4625, before the game, WITH the stock antenna in place. Nothing since without the antenna.

Thanks KC4WSD, were those in FM or MOTOTRBO? I'm guessing FM since I don't know of any scanners with MOTOTRBO capabilites.
