603 for Worcester, MA Police

44 for CT State Police

Pick a random 10-code for the Northern RI Police Departments.

Simple term unattended for most local Police Departments in my area.

In the tri-county area 10-7 is a catch all. Everything from "my pen is 10-7" to "my unit is 10-7", including animals and humans.
10-36 Murder
10-45 Animal Carcass
10-50 (F) Accident with Fatality
10-57 (F) Hit & Run with Fatality
10-60 Notify Coroner
Signal 7 (S) Suicide (A) Attempted
Signal 8 Natural Death
Signal 37 Funeral Escort
Signal 53 Dead Body

Dallas TX and many surrounding agencies use "Signal 27", which is often abbreviated as just "27".

New Hampshire (state wide):

Death: 10-54 (S = suicide, A = Accidental, N = Natural, D = Drowning)

Also heard as "subject threatening 10-54S"...

As described for other departments, the code for "out of service" is often used as in "We have two subjects who are 10-2", though this usage is most often heard with regards to animals ("a 10-2 deer in the road...")

(this whole thread points to the wisdom of using plain speech and no codes in public safety)

LE agencies in San Francisco and surrounding Bay Area, CA use "10-55" or "DOA."

(As was previously mentioned for Sacramento.)

Ocean County, NJ uses 10-29 for a DOA. 10-88 is CPR in progress... Jokingly, some officers say 10-7 (off the record... 10-7 is used for out of service/off duty)
