Hi,
I hear on my scanner while listening to Morris Co. Trunking System that a lot of the police agencies use something called "posts" as a location for certain things. What does this mean and how do I know where each post is? Thanks!

In my town, "posts" are locations that require extra attention by police and are checked numerous times daily. Parks, city buildings, making sure gate is locked for the night, etc...

Can't help you what they are though as I'm not from that area. Good Luck..

I'm a Morris County resident as well. They are refurring to where they will be for a short period in time such as crossing guard post, or radar post and so forth. Many times they will call over thephone to dispatcher to let them know where they are. If not, listen carefully and you should be able to hear where they are.
