Hey guys, I've been trying to get into listening into police radio recently and started looking at my local PD Frequencies, I've seen a lot of frequencies that are 5 numbers long and start with "T" and was just wondering what this type of frequency was called. Thanks for any help in advance!

They appear to be the talkgroups for a trunked system, not frequencies. Please provide us with what you are trying to listen to and we can give you a better answer.

Trunked systems have a control channel that moves the radio reception to a voice frequency and use talkgroups to separate the traffic by agency/departments.
