I wanted to build a rugged case to put my 536 in so I can travel to the desert with it.
It had to a portable, self powered unit to transfer from the motor home to the trailer or run outside.
I had them make to two of stainless steel outer cases and handles at work. The sides are 1x4's covered in trunk carpet.
This is the prototype I built for my friend to take to Baja to listen to the races, using an extra PRO-163 I had. The 12 volt power is a $20.00 unit I got off Amazon. It will power this for roughly 6-7 hours at a med-high volume. It will charge off 110 or 12 volt. I had to do some cable mods but it works great.
I'm not crazy about the telescoping antenna but this is a giveaway and It has a BNC Connector to put on whatever my buddy may want. I looks like I missed some smudge marks in the photo's!
