Hate to do this, but...

Worked on a partial trade + cash sent to colby4601 almost a month ago... For a radio of his and some accs.

Got a reply from him saying he needed to use the radio for that weekend, and would have to ship it after that weekend. (I said no worries)


Tracking never provided until the 13th of this month. Payment was sent on Jun 23, 2009. We both decided and agreed on Canada Post xpresspost, since we live in the same country. Tracking provided as of the 13th is only an electronic order submitted, item was never dropped off at the post office.

I have been in almost constant contact with Colby, but for the past 24 hours he has not been replying, and before that he had promised for an updated tracking #.

I just want the radio as agreed on, and to complete this trade. This is only a negative until the item shows up, than it will be a positive, as I know others have traded with Colby and had no issues.


Colby- I don't mind if stuff happens in life and your too busy to ship something- if thats the case, just inform me, and tell me when you can ship it. But if your going to keep telling me its shipped, and I have proof its not.. Not too cool.

I bet it's a misunderstnading. Colby and I have done several transactions and he is a stand up guy. I'm sure he will make it right.

I am as well... I checked with some other members before I committed to dealing with him since another member had left a "bad taste" in my mouth. I know he is a good guy.

The only reason this is a negative- is for 2 reasons.

1. its been almost a month, when it should of only taken a week from when I sent payment (he needed it for that following weekend, and shipping was only supposed to take 2 days MAX via Xpresspost)

2. Current tracking # is only "order electronically submitted" and it has stayed that way since the 13th. (Canada Post tracking updates around every 6 hours.)

Weird Re: Canada post tracking. I never have any issues, and when I drop something off at the local post office, once I return home the tracking # is online... A few years back tracking was allot slower.. I I know USPS tracking is dismal thou.


I also got a Txt from Colby tonight- he says he is away from home and keeps asking if I have rcv'd the radio yet- which I have not. He is also now stating it was shipped this past Tuesday (??Something about the insurance being invalid, so it was returned to his residence... which I have never heard before when shipping domestically....) via xpresspost- buy does not have updated tracking or a new # for me.

The only issue I have currently is the item not arriving here (is only 1-2 days shipping time) and the tracking number showing the item was never dropped off at the post office (paypal shipping label)

I had also checked with a postal manager local to me (family friend) and they have confirmed nothing has been shipped under that tracking number (which was provided to me via Paypal)

Again, this is nothing against the guy personally, I have had other friends of mine vouch for him, I know his employer, and he does seem like a great guy. I just don't understand the whole shipping issue... or the timeframe.... That is my only issues. (I'm really hoping its Canada Post messing stuff up)

Update yet again-

More conversing with Colby- was provided with a new tracking number- which shows the item will be delivered tomorrow. He also told me he forgot to ship the charger, so he is boxing that up separately. Once I receive the radio tomorrow, I will change this negative feedback.

I finally got it out of him- he informed me he got busy with life, and let shipping this slip, which is okay with me. I just wish he had notified me he was busy weeks ago. (my only complaint) He has apologized quite a few times.

Well, the radio is here, one part is missing, but I was informed.

Change this to a positive.


For those following along- Colby got tied up with some personal matters, and I totally accept his reasons.
