While in search mode yesterday, Searching an NXDN system. i noticed while i was holding on the freq, i noticed that it would bounce between RAN and AREA, I have noticed this once before, just at a glance but this time it was doing it while the person was talking. It is normally AREA of 0 and the RAN's were 16 and 25. Any assistance helping figure out this would be appreciated.

Possible interference from a different system/site in close proximity? Does the system ID if known appear the same?

the closest freq that is NXDN is for the same place, but i have not heard anything on that freq. i have searched within 50-60 miles of the area did not find anything that was even close to that freq.
Is your radio up to date with the latest firmware? I know there have been a few updates released by Uniden which improve NXDN decoding
I do believe so, but I'd have to check. Does anyone know the latest update number ? I just checked i have 1.23.00 firmware.

You have the latest version available from Sentinel.
There is 1.24.00 and 1.25.00 but they must be applied manually. I don't recall if the release notes for either said anything about NXDN though.
thank you, i will check those updates out. I will just keep monitoring it and see if i can gather anymore information on this.
