What is everyone catching/blocking/getting warned about exactly? The protection I run hasn't allowed me to interact with the forums since day one, so I've been allowing the forums by. All my scans and searches have come up clean though and my firewalls dont detect anything out of the usual.

I view these forums on two different networks and I have never seen any alerts.

I got a virus alert from Norton 360 that a virus was trying to enter my system it was called sweet orange exploit kit virus. I got this warning after opening a link in the following page: I went to the federal forums then I click on federal freq. Arrangement the I open the link that read http:/www.ntia.doc.gov.................. there is where I started getting the warnings every 2 or 5 minutes.

I havent seen any kind of suspicous activity in the past 3 days. Kind of a surprise to me. Using FF 23.0.1. I block scripts, flash, java, cookies and other stuff so that could be why. I also use K9 web protection in the background. If you look around the internet at the files from webpages, you would be surprised at what kind of 3rd party crap floats around and even some 1st party.

Precisely what I got too-I tried to recall the name but my Norton apparenly erases stuff daily. It was Sweet Orange and mine shot a warning every time I hit "today's posts"

Following link is only a few days old, making me think nortons updates messed something up recently, well known they have done that over the years BTW. -
Norton Safeweb is Cheating Users by Marking Safe Websites as Unsafe
That website is also being falsely accused of malware as well.

Lyndsay - admins if you havent this before - http://safeweb.norton.com/help/site_owners

I cant help notice 'for the most part' ones reporting a problem are using the free antivirus' or norton 360 types. IMHO they are reporting problems that are not there, you get what you pay for!. Norton 360 stuff and those all in one malware/antivirus packages are very well known to be way over aggressive even to the point of not allowing one to get on the net at all - very common.
Ultimately those programs phone home and report sites as bad when they are aren't. AKA false positives or also the ole 'cry wolf'.

I have yet to see any problems here, I'm using IE10, windows 7, Norton endpoint 11. Thats what is common for business to use as its not the over aggressive as the all in one norton 360 types.

I suggest those norton 360 users for reporting false positives on websites -

WHoo hoo ! noticed ... I joined the 1,000 post club, this is my 1,000th post hehe !
