postal inspectors- how often do they inspect?

i live VERY close to a postal office in town, and i'm interested in seeing if i can't catch some postal inspectors comms. how often do they inspect?

anyone have frequencies for the sacramento area?

Their title is misleading. They do not actually inspect post offices. They are criminal investigators who investigate violations of United States laws as they relate to the US Post Office. With that said, they can be active at any time and just about anywhere, not just at or near post offices. Down here in South Florida, they have gone to P25 w/ 100% encryption so monitoring them has become impossible.

They dont inspect anything they are federal agents and work a lot of white collar/financial/electronic interstate crimes. They work close with FBI, USSS, DEA, local law enforcement.

I know that here in Chicago and I'm sure elsewhere, they work with police package interdiction teams. The use dogs and other means to detect packages to pull as suspected of having drugs or other contraband enclosed.
