Power adapter

I just bought a used Realistic Pro-2006 with no power cord / adapter. Where can I find a replacement?

If you can find a power adapter for a Uniden BC780XLT or BC785D, it will work on the PRO-2006 also. The Uniden adapter has the same size plug and proper output (13.8 volts DC, 700 mA, positive tip) for the the PRO-2006, and probably several other RS scanners too. Before plugging anything into your scanner, make sure the plug is the correct polarity, (+ (positive) tip in this case) or it can smoke your scanner!

I usually take a trip to the thrift store when I can't find the right size adapter. I always have 1 amp transformers on hand, it's just a matter of soldering the right size connector on the end.
