prayers needed, officer hurt in crash

It sounded like a Plainfield officer was badly hurt in a crash at US36 and Ronald Reagan today. I heard what sounded like a male call it on on law dispatch, then a few min later another unit asked for the status of the medics in a non normal tone of voice.
Not long after that Speedway PD said ISP and other units would be blocking intersections for the ground transport to the hospital.

I heard from the North Salem marshal it's an Avon officer, still no word on any local news sites.

The crash was caused by a suspect running from the police and collided with a car killing one..

Plainfield police are investigating after a chase with an Avon police officer led a suspect to collide with another car.

Second time in about a month that an Avon PD officer has been involved in a traffic stop/chase that results in death of an uninvolved person or persons.

The intersection of U.S. 40 and Ronald Reagan Parkway is in the Town of Plainfield. Though, it's entirely possible that the Avon PD officer initiated the contact in Avon and ended up in Plainfield.
