Predictive programming

I am suggesting an enhancement to the GPS feature.

My HP only adds systems that are in front of me along my line of travel after I reach the appropriate geographical area. It is capable of receiving those systems from much farther away.

I suggest a user-selectable predictive programming option, where the scanner would assume the user's intent to continue traveling in the same general direction and load upcoming areas in sooner. There would be times when this behavior would be undesirable because of course changes and other factors, hence the "user-selectable" part.

good idea but...

I think this is a great idea but not something we can enjoy in NY. Of course if the laws change from supporting the presumption that scannists are going to commit crimes to one of presumed innocence we'll ok.

Whether we can enjoy it NY is a matter of exactly where you are when you try. LOL.

But that is not the subject of this thread.
