Good evening,
What frequencies do private scavenger (garbage) companies use? I see several have Talk Groups on various trunked systems, however I have seldom heard them used. Thanks.

If your scanner discriminates traffic based on service type, be sure the applicable service type(s) in the "tag" column of the RRDB is (are) enabled for said talkgroups, usually "Business" for trash companies. If still no joy or this doesn't apply to your scanner, provide specific examples from the RRDB and perhaps someone local can weigh in...

Do you have a specific company in mind? When you say "scavenger service", do you mean the private trash hauling companies? I know we've documented many of them across different trunking systems, and like @Whiskey3JMC said, if you're using a scanner that has service types, make sure you have them all enabled.

Yes I mean private trash haulers. I have some of the talk group for one on the TRBOconnections and have never heard any activity on it. I also put in some of the advanced disposal TG's on the Digi talk system, heard some activity on them but not very often.

It's possible they have moved to other systems that are listed or utilizing data to communicate and using less radio communications? Diga-Talk seems to be migrating subscribers to their LTE system, so another possibility? The TRBO Connect system is active, just not sure if it's what you're looking for.
