Private Vs Group

Will someone please enlighten me about the difference between a private and group talk group specific to Wildcards? I would greatly appreciate it. I still don't understand how this works. I have a PSR 500.

Group = standard trunked system talkgroup

Private = iCall, individual radio to radio call

Ok! Private wildcard hits are individual radios that send out radio id's. The group wildcard hits are different tgids completely. Say you are on a fire truck with five guys, each has a radio but they all talk on the same talkgroup as far as the trunked system has them assigned. Each radio could have a specific radio id so if the captain wanted to contact only the engineer he could.
Now the cool thing the 500 can do is you can assign each radio id or (private tgid) to an object. Or you can just use the group tgid and hear them all. There's a expert menu hit prgm then global and scroll down to show radio id. select that and turn it on, then the whole priv/group thing starts to make sense because you can see the radio id's.
