Hi all, What wideband antenna is recommended for my Pro-106?
I am still using the stock antenna. It seems to work ok, there must be something better.
Thanks.

It depends on what you want to monitor. I use a discone at home and have more than one kind of mobile antenna on my trucks. For portable, if you're not listening to low band VHF and you especially listen to 800 MHz, there is a good 800 MHz rubber antenna that works well. Otherwise the stock antenna is the best for decent coverage across all bands from a portable antenna.

I am looking for a rubber duck antenna. I monitor aircraft, federal, military.. So I guess 108mhz to 900mhz.

I finally did a review on the Remtronics REM-830B. I think it's a great scanner antenna. The base angle let's you use the scanner anywhere. I have been using the scanner in my CX-5 in the door panel and angle the antenna up and the reception in the door panel is excellent. The antenna is a little thicker then the Remtronics REM 800.

It's really hard to beat the stock antenna. I use them on my TRX-1 and WS-1080, much better than those radios stock little antenna
