Pro -106 Question

I just bought the Pro-106 and it's pretty cool besides the batteries draining fast. My question is, it has the "G" symbol on the screen. Im not to familiar with what that is for. Does anyone know if i should have it there or take it off ? And for some reason, Conv Freqs come in with some static. The trunked freqs ICIS, come in very clear

All my other scanners, 246, 396T, 346XT, Pro's 96, 97, 162 recieve conventional freqs way better then my Pro-106 does. Im pretty pissed spending 500 bucks and my other scanners out perform it

The attenuator is set for Global mode. Found in Understanding Display Icons section of Owners Manual.

So, should i have it on or off? My PSR-300 has the "G" on their and it works fine.

Each radio make is different. The 500/600 have a very hot front end. Try turning the Global Att off and see how it works. Then try it with just the ATT (A) on for your conventional channels that are not coming in. I know when I am at home I have to use the ATT on our VHF system.
