Hello--
New to Colorado and I've been having a rough time getting new stuff programmed into my RS Pro-106. I have never done any firmware updates on this but it did work just fine in Minnesota before I left. I have a premium membership with RR and have downloaded a trial version of Win500 which I had used to program my radio a couple years ago when I originally purchased it.
For the past few hours I've been attempting to use Win500 to download data from RR to my scanner. After realizing that I had to make a TSYS object to assign my downloads to I have been able to send stuff to my scanner, yet I get no audio from anything I scan. I live in Littleton right along Hwy 85 between Bowles and Belleview (so I assume I have a decent signal).
All that I'm attempting to scan is stuff from Arapahoe County and I may add Denver PD at a later time.
Inside the TSYS Objects tab I have created 4 objects.
1) Littleton PD (with the LPD tgrp objects associated with it), Type is set to P25 Auto. Dwell=0, Att=unchecked, LOut=unchecked, AGC=checked, SuperTrack=checked, NFM=unchecked, Boost=unchecked.
2) Littleton FD (with the LFD tgrp objects associated with it), then all the same settings as above.
3) Arapahoe County (with various Sheriff dept frequencies selected in the tgrp objects), then same settings as above.
4) Denver PD (with Denver dispatch frequencies in the tgrp associated), Type=EDACS STD, rest is the same as above.
The scanner is completely default and stock. I did attempt to do a reset on the device using the 0, 2 and the 0,5 functions. I don't use it all that often but am baffled at what I'm doing wrong. When I did this a couple years ago I remember being thrilled with the simplicity of the setup using the software. Now, either something is wrong or I'm missing a crucial step.
When the scanner is on, I select "Scan" and I have the 4 scan lists (1-4) on the screen. Up on the top bar I have the G and a S with a flickering one-bar of signal.
Any help is greatly appreciated as I would love to listen in.
Thanks,
