are u sure that when they programmed it they had the most recent data.
Do you have any software that you can use to import the data from RR.com.

Also, when you say "digital frequencies" you mean trunking, correct?
If you do, which system(s) do you want.

If I know what system, and yu can tell me what software you use (if any), if it is ARC500 I will make you a file which you can use.

If you don't have arc500 you can download the demo (you will also need a cable for the scanner).

Here are the conventional freqs for Big Horn County, Wyoming. I didn't see any TRS for that area.
I have them in a ARC500 file.So you will need the cable for Pro-106, and the Arc500 trial software.

Scanlist 1: Lovell PD-FD-EMS
Scanlist 2: Bighorn County SO and other county agencies.

You have a fairly large statewide system that takes some planning & programming. I strongly recommend Win500 for programming software, a USB interface, & some time to set the radio up right.

In that area, there are many interesting things to listen to despite the population. Check the forum for your state. You might be surprised.

Trunking doesn't just shut off. I would suspect the system is not too busy, that does happen. If you manually step through to an object in the system and the T is solid, then you are "hearing" the system okay. If the T is flickering and it's a Motorola system then that is normal and there is nothing wrong with your scanner. Press the WX button and if you hear some nearby weather stations then you don't have any problems with the scanner. Press the TUNE button and enter a control channel, if you see 99 percent, you're doing just fine.

When you got your scanner programmed, what did you ask them to program for you?

Where was it working before it stopped? Inside your house? While you were out walking or driving?

Did you buy any programs to help you program on your own without having to go to RadioShack?

Your forum profile says you live in the Town of Lovell inside Big Horn County, and after looking into your past posts and seems like you're interested in monitoring the Cities of Cody and Powell in Park County next door. If you went to a RadioShack in Park County and asked specifically for Cody and Powell to be programmed in, they may have entered sites for only Park County.

Another (although unlikely) possibility is that the sites you have already programmed have switched to an alternate control channel, and it's possible that whoever programmed your system did not enter the alternate.

What would be helpful is if you know what sites you have programmed in. If you don't know, you can press the 'MAN' button on your scanner and use the arrows until you see 'TSYS' above 'F2' and press it. You then should hit 'Analyze' above 'F3' and scroll through your list and write down all the control channels that you have and reply with them. In analyze mode, you can also see if you hear a grinding like noise. This noise would mean you are receiving the control channel.

For others attempting to help, reference link for the system in question: WyoLink: Statewide Interoperability Matrix Trunking System, Statewide, Multi-State - Scanner Frequencies

Programming 106 For Wyoming

I am attempting to help you program your Pro-106. I strongly recommend purchasing Win500 for programming your radio since it is user-friendly & you can see the trunking system along with the associated Talk Groups in one visual field. Some people prefer manual programming, but it is time consuming. Here is a great example of what you would see in Win500 if you were to select this programming method:

WIN500 - UtahRadio

If you are wanting to program your area, here are the tower locations for WyoLink, the statewide trunking system. If you like, find the ones closest to your location and use them for optimal reception:

Site Map: WyoLink: Statewide Interoperability Matrix Trunking System, Statewide, Multi-State

Once you've entered all of the Talk Groups (channels) you want for this system, then you might enter the conventional frequencies for your county and the ones identified as statewide. After reviewing the talk groups associated with this statewide system, I don't see many associated with your county; however, the Wyoming Highway Patrol & other agencies are listed. You might have to consult the Wyoming Highway Patrol to see which Troops operate near your location. You county does not list a lot of conventional frequencies. Again, you might want to program Nationwide and Statewide frequencies as well.

This is a a fairly intimidating process in the beginning, but if I can learn, so can you. I am pretty dyslexic & inept when it comes to technical matters.

If you find the appropriate talk groups and trunking system, there may be periods of inactivity as the other respondent indicated in this thread. I am pretty sure there are plenty of federal frequencies in your area as well.

Please, don't give up. I would not recommend having Radio Shack program this radio unless you are positive they know what they are doing regarding programming. Sometimes, you can find someone who knows what they are doing, but manual programming is not preferred in my opinion. Your visual field is limited to the LCD screen instead of the screen of a computer.

I believe it is a problem with Wyolink as there are many scanner enthusiasts complaining of not receiving any traffic in this area for the past couple of days.

Really? It was working in Albany county this past weekend.

Care to elaborate?

Thanks,
Rick

Rick,
I am not saying the whole state is out and yes Park County was working fine up until Tuesday 7/24. However, Park county's traffic seemed to disappear sometime on Tuesday as I have had several people in the area say their scanners went silent. It seems to be a mystery as know one seems to know why for sure. This is just my take on it.
Thanks
