Pro 162 Backlight Question

Is there a way that at night you can leave the backlight on all the time?

No, I don't believe there is. I believe with the 162 the backlight only stays on for 15 seconds at a time. You can, however, set the backlight to Auto Mode which will turn in on for 5 seconds everytime a transmission is received. That's probably the best you're going to get with that model, and if you monitor busy systems the light should stay on pretty much all the time anyway in Auto Mode.

No. Page 39 explains all the light options except for "Power On Light". That turns the backlight on for 5 seconds everytime you turn the scanner on.

you probably should of bought the 164, the 164 doesnt have back light but it can be on at all times.
