pro-197 SAME wildcard

The manual mentions a SAME wildcard feature BUT does not seem to say how you set it up and or turn the feature on.

I would suggest that you download the manual for the GRE PSR 600. Go to page 81 and read the instructions. The manual for the GRE scanner is must better than that for the Pro-197. Since they are basically the same scanner use the GRE manual. And do not be afraid to experiment with the settings - you will not break the scanner and may discover something.

Basically, within the SAME code entry, you place an asterisk on the locations where you want to match anything.

Example:

To hear all SAME activations for the state of Michigan, you would enter a SAME code of *26***. This will match any SAME code received that has 26 in the 2nd and 3rd position.
