PRO-2055 TG Search Function?

Hi Group,

Can I search for unknown talkgroups with the PRO-2055? The trooper I was listening to today switched to a TG I was sure was not in my radio. I thought I could search for the new active TG but couldn't figure it out. I RTFM and the 'easier to read' page over at Mark's.

Any thoughts?

Although I generally like my 2055 getting to some of the most basic functions is a real head-bang.

Hi W5JSS, thank you for your reply. I read the instructions a few more times and think I have it down pat.

Hi bwhite, I know what you mean. Back in the past I could program the '2005 to search between two frequencies with my eyes closed. I guess I was looking for a similar process for searching for our talkgroups. I understand the process, but I do that infrequently enough to have to pull out the manual every time I want to do something. Practice makes perfect.

Well, the thing is with this radio, many of the common functions like sitting on one talkgroup can only be done thru pressing a combination of unintuitive keys. If the radio is already stopped on the TG you hit one set of keys to hold on the TG, if it is scanning away and you want to park on a TG it is diff keys.....I don't do it very often so I forget the sequences. The price was pretty right though.
