Need some help, I recently moved to Martinsburg, and hauled out my 2096 this morning to find out more on the chemical spill / cloud in Martinsburg.
Of course I hadnt updated this yet from the old state frequencies. Does anyone happen to have a backup (pro96) file (that works) for my area. I tried the webinterface option in (Win96) for downloading, so far and the scanner is sat going through all of the Berkeley County MOT IDs but so far no audio... its years since I programmed this old girl, and I noticed for some reason there is nothing in the priority search frequency.... Any help would be appreciated (W8BFO) - Will - 73s

I think part of the reason you're not hearing anything is the 2096 needs a custom table put in the programming software.

It's on this page. SIRN requires the custom table or else it won't stop on anything even with the correct frequencies and Talkgroups entered.

I go to Elkins often and had to do this for my 2096 and Pro96.

Let us know how it goes

Pretty much everything in Berkely County is on SIRN, including Martinsburg PD, Berkeley Co Sheriff, WVSP, and all of the fire and EMS. The Martinsburg and Kearneysville sites are the main ones to monitor.

I have a WIN500 file you can use. It's a bit old, but it still has all the main talkgroups for Jeffco and Berkco. Let me know if you want a copy of it.
Thanks Andy, that would be terrific. You can PM it me if you can please (thedutydoctor) at g - mail dot com works.

Richard, can you remember when you enter the Berkeley county frequencies did you set them as MOT for motorola, or as DC (digital).
Almost there, setup the Multi Table., just the question the Rx Mode.

All sorted - once I added in the primary frequencies and then the muti table option everything started working. Thanks Richard, for the direction on the table and frequencies..

Anytime. You might want to save the settings as a virtual scanner in the scanner also (as a backup). Then if you travel and want to change your setup for a trip, you can easily go back to any of your virtual scanner setting backups and not have to add all the information again.

See ya
