Pro 404 or pro-137

Which would be a better handheld scanner, the pro-404 or pro -137 racing scanner? Which has better audio & reception?

I don't know how the 404 sounds, but I can vouch for the loud and clear audio of the 137.

I have both scanners and they are both great entry level scanners with superb reception and audio. But the pro-137 has alpha tags and more features than the pro-404. So if I was buying or deciding it would be the pro-137. It comes preloaded with race frequencies from the factory, simply reset the scanner and they are removed. Thats what I did with mine anyway.
