Pro 433 ,

A lady friend of mine relative passed away. She found a Pro 433 (new in box), sitting high in the closet.
She knew I was into scanning,so she gave it to me yesterday.

I'm in Central Michigan.

Is this scanner worth programming for Clare and Isabella Counties??

I didn't see any programming software or cables.

Those counties are on a trunked system for the most part. You would hear very limited fire activity if any at all.

Thanks . It was worth the try. I saw "Trunking" on the box, and just assumed it would be ok.

Another paper weight.

It's still good for a lot of things, most importantly VHF & UHF (Mil-Air)!

Second this. The analog trunking features are pretty useless in 2020, but I have repurposed my Pro-433 to follow air traffic, fire paging, and the few conventional law enforcement agencies that remain holdouts in my area. I also use it to track a few random conventional business channels and the ham calling frequencies.

I still have it on in the background almost ever day when I am listening, and often park it on the local fire paging channel if I have my other scanners off to get a tipoff a major incident - it still has some value!

Yep, never give up on old scanners! I picked up a PRO-51 at an estate sale for $5... add another $20 for a power supply... cleaned it up, made a stand for it and it now sits on my side-table at work monitoring air-band from the airport right across the street. Of course I haven't been there much since March when we all started working from home, but still.

I was going to let my girlfriend use it at her job. But, seeing that it won't pick up Clare County police or Clare city police. She will want another one
