Pro-668 needs solution to error message

My Pro-668 has an error message as follows: "Error detected Please see user guide for more information. Code 00029C40 3-04 0003". Of course the user guide provides no reference to error codes. The radio is, of course, not functional until the error can be corrected. Can anyone help with this problem? Thank you. Paul

Install a new SD Card and go to Scanner/SD Card next prepare scanner / SD Card after that Copy Configuration to Scanner / SD Card.

That is a SD card code, you can try fixing the card in windows, using disk error checking (google it) I find it works best on windows 7.

Get a another card or 2....a Sandisk 8gb CLASS 4 speed via amazon for less the $7 shipped with prime.

No need for bigger card, DO NOT GET a class 10 or other brands as they are not all compatible with the scanner....basically the scanner only plays nice with certain cards.

When all fixed make a archive via the software that way you can restore via the archive, also having a second programmed and ready gets up back up and scanning in minutes.

Many thanks for the reply. The disc in the radio now is a 4gb disc. If I put in an 8gb disc will it work as well?

i have used an 8 it just takes a little long to boot.

it will work, boot time is not a issue.
