I believe our system has undergone some upgrades. City of RockyMount, NC. A lot of our scanners are not working. Yesterday they were working and this AM they have stopped. Is this due to "rebanding" I have been reading the threads regarding this. Will this help:

This is done through the custom table feature that these radio have.

Here is the table to program:

Code:
ChLO ChHI Step Offset Base
440 559 25.000 440 851.025000
000 719 25.000 0 851.012500
720 759 25.000 0 848.000000
815 831 25.000 0 846.625000
958 958 25.000 958 868.975000
961 1022 25.000 0 843.400000This is meant to support systems whether they are in the process of transitioning from 866MHz freqs or have already switched over and only use 850MHz frequencies. The two systems which have been mentioned in other threads on RadioReference (Alabama and Vacaville, California) have made complete transitions. Vacaville specifically was using 866 and immediately moved off them to the 850MHz freqs.

To simplify programming, if your system has rebanded and does NOT use any frequencies above 862MHz you only need to program the two ranges below.

Code:
ChLO ChHI Step Offset Base
440 559 25.000 440 851.025000
000 719 25.000 0 851.012500YOU MUST PUT THE 440 ROW FIRST OR IT WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY. A higher row takes priority over a lower row.

That's what I thought. Thanks.

Don't be too hasty. The 12 freqs. that are listed in the database are not affected by rebanding. They may have added some freqs. or changed the control channel, etc.
Try putting it on manual and stepping through those 12 freqs. and see if you hear the control channel. If not, search the 800MHz band and look for one.
Also, ask in the N.C. Forum.

DickH is right.. although your scanner won't support rebanding, not all systems must be rebanded. It looks like Rocky Mount has two frequencies being rebanded 860.2625 & 860.7625. They have been operating under a waiver because the new frequencies assigned by Sprint/Nextel to replace 860.2625 & 860.7625 were incompatible with thier equipment. On May 21, 2009 when they requested the waiver they anticipated being finished rebanding within 4-5 months, which is now.
