PRO-96 programing?

In bank 3 - channel 328 - I programed Surprise I put in Surprise Ch4 868.88750 MOT I am not hearing anything I also put in Surprise 52400 as Alpha Tag and ID this is in #15. What am I doing wrong I hear nothing. I also put in freq. 866.2125 (hot call for Surprise) and correct IDs - I hear nothing.

If you put Mot frequencies in, you need the frequencies that are used as control channels for that system. If the frequency you input isn't being used as the control channel, nothing will happen.

However, if the frequency you're trying to listen to isn't part of a trunked system, but is conventional instead, change the Mot to FM, and you'll hear traffic on it (provided people are actually using it).

What system are you trying to program? Also, are you using Win96, or doing it by hand?

OK. What system are you trying to program? Is it in the database here? Also, are you trying to solve the same problem as in This thread?

I am in Phoenix, AZ Maricopa County. I was trying to see if I could get Surprise, Az to come in on my scanner from what I have read and learned. Oh Brother LOL is all I have got to say. I put in all the Eight hundred freq. for this city and get nothing.

Try this file, I got it from the Pro-96 yahoo group file area. It looks like Surprise is listed in bank 0...
