You can always program it manually.

There are other programs out there with which to program the Pro-96 (such as Scan-Cat), but Win96 is by FAR the easiest in the opinion of the majority of users.

Manual is fine with me.........best way to learn the radio is hands on. I haven't purchased the radio yet, but have downloaded the owners manual off the RS site and saved it to my desktop. This allows me to do a little homework ahead of time..

Sounds fine in theory, and works for small systems, but after you've put in your three hundredth talkgroup alphatag you'll change your mind ;>

I think after you've spent $280, $350, $400, $450, or $500 (It's been all three prices) you'd go ahead and splurge and spend the $30 for the best software out there.

You can always use the demo for 30 days, but it'll be worth it to buy it.

hi 1002 also as an added bonus if a donating member you can import right from rr database. that alone is worth the thirty bucks but it is the easist to use one word awesome thanks mike
