pro 96

Just purchased a pro 96 from a private party, and it has me quite perplexed ? I,m more familiar with the pro 97 anolog, but whanted a digital scanner. Not sure what this guy did to it, but i,m recieving anything? except weather. I,ve noticied that when i hit scan it says all ch. locked out.Tried hitting reset and reprograming with no luck. could someone help me here? Thank,s BG Anch. Ak.

Should IMO expand the subject to be more descriptive to what your asking.
Anyways though, since its an old radio, I assumed the question probably was asked before. I used the search function on the site and came up with a few threads about the same problem, RadioReference.com - Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference


Looking at http://forums.radioreference.com/radio-shack-scanners/178076-pro-2096-all-channels-locked-out.html check to see if there are any channels even programmed in. That thread suggests that there probably isn't anything programmed.
Have a programming cable and able to look more easily at it if anything is in it? My gut feeling was that the seller assumed you were going to program it for your area and did the reset which wiped out what he programmed in I bet.
