Well I'm finally learning how this things works, no thanks to the manual!! Just kidding.. One question, Does it hurt (Other than draining the Batteries faster) to leave the Back Light on for extended periods of time - Like an Hour or so??

I leave my backlight on almost all the time. The LED life span is several years, I don't think you have anything to worry about.

I don't know if GRE has changed the technology, but on my PRO-93, over the years, the backlight would dim out, and you actually don't notice it until it dies completely, or you compare it to a new one. Just something to keep in mind.
